League Champions - 2007

History

Clawddnewydd joined the League in 1999 when the number of teams in the League was down to 10 during the previous season. The village had previously no experience of League Football, but the club was formed at the time when the Cae Cymro Community Centre was being built; they were able to persuade the Community Centre Committee to undertake a massive project to level off a piece of ground to provide a Football pitch for the Community.

The Cae Cymro project has been a major success earning a number of National Awards, but the Football Club has also been a success in community terms and the Summer League has played a major part in that. Being aware of the number of single village teams that have had to resign from Summer League due to lack of players in the recent past, the League's Executive Committee was anxious that the Clawddnewydd catchment area was made as big as reasonably possible to enable the club to exist in the future.

This club's catchment area contains the villages of Clawddnewydd, Clocaenog and Derwen, also parts of Cyffylliog, and Llanfwrog.
