7-a-side - 1983( Llanbedr club)

History

The current Llangynhafal club is a merger of two former clubs namely Llangynhafal and Llanbedr in 1992. Both clubs, like Llanfair, were members of the Ruthin Summer League disbanded in 1956. Llangynhafal joined our League in 1966 dropped out in 1978; and rejoined in 1987. Llanbedr joined in 1975 and continued in existence until 1992. During these periods both clubs had great difficulty in getting enough players and were assisted by the League in a variety of ways to attempt to keep both clubs in the League. The current Llangynhafal club now play their home matches on the Rhewl Playing Field.

Like other teams they have had great difficulty in finding a pitch in their local community.

The Llangynhafal catchment is based on the original Llangynhafal and Llanbedr Parishes; Generally it contains the villages of Gellifor, Hendrerwydd, Llanbedr and Llangynhafal.
