The Booklet and the two books were produced by Robert Emlyn Jones , the League President, who has a lifetime of involvement with the Summer League - as a spectator, player, administrator and now "figurehead".
1. Golden Years Booklet
This A4 booklet was produced in 1977 and this work must have given him a taste for being the League's Historian and Archivist. The lovely young lady on the cover was Linda Ann Davies who was chosen as the first Miss Summer League at a disco in The Stables, St Asaph in 1977. The Summer League disco was held annually for a few years until the support dwindled.
You will be very lucky to lay your hands on this document.
2. Summer Football in the Vale of Clwyd.
This book was written in 1995 and is a comprehensive history of the Summer League. It also gives an insight of his time as a player for Llanrhaeadr in the 50's and also as a young administrator helping to restructure the league in the 60's and 70's. These books are still available at £5 from the League
