History

Trefnant were one of the founder clubs in 1927 and still play on the same pitch. They are the second most successful club in the history of the League and were particularly successful during the pre-war and post-war periods. They achieved the treble league successes in their hay days. They also enjoyed success in mid 70's.

During the latter years they have difficulty in having enough players, even though they have added Bodfari and Tremeirchion to their catchment area. They have concession for players from the Rhuallt area. The Bodfari parish was once a very successful Summer League team whose claim to fame was the achievement of winning 3 consecutive doubles in the early sixties. They unfortunately resigned in 1990 Also Tremeirchion were in the League from 1928 until 1977 and they won 3 Championships and one Shield.
