Junior 7-a-side – 2008, 2014Cefn became members of the league in 1929 and being the club with the smallest population they generally struggled in the early days. In the 50’s half of the Llannefydd parish was added to the Cefn area In the 60’s they were allowed to select players from two housing estates in St Asaph and during the late 60’s and 70’s they were quite successful – at the 2010 AGM this area has now been permanently added to the Cefn catchment area with the club been allowed register 4 players per season. the area between the north of the Cefn parish and the A548 was permanently added. In 2006 the club was short of players and 4 young players were added from the Llanfair TH parish – this has now been rescinded.
Latterly there have been many good Cefn footballers from the Llannefydd part of their area and in the 90’s and also recently they have played a major part in the club’s success.
The Club decided to move their pitch from Cefn village to Llannefydd where most of their players are based. It is a beautiful location with views of the coast and the mountains of North Wales. The club are hoping to build a Pavilion and Changing Rooms in the near future.

After match hospitality- Hawk and Buckle, Llannefydd
Location
The simplest way to the new pitch is to take the Henllan Road out of Denbigh; once you reach Henllan take the Llannefydd road; two miles further on you should pass the Hawk and Buckle Inn on the right and then the church and the village hall on the left – the pitch is a 100 metres further on.
